I arrived in Nantes in 2020 and never left. Not entirely by chance: this city literally captivated me, with its dense history, surprising architecture and an energy you won't find anywhere else.
Since then, I've explored its streets from every angle, dug into its archives, discovered its hidden corners and gathered countless anecdotes. That's the passion I wanted to share by creating à pas d'éléphant.
My goal: to let you experience Nantes as if a friend who really knows the city were showing it to you. We walk, we stop, we chat, we laugh — and we leave with stories worth telling.

💛 Weekend "pay-what-you-want" tours (Free Tour)
On Saturdays and Sundays, some tours run on the Free Tour model: free participation. You book your spot for free, enjoy the tour, and at the end you give what you want, based on how you felt and your budget, directly to your guide.
On these dates (marked with a green dot in the calendar), there is no fixed price and no online payment: everything is settled on site, at the hat.

Terms of sale
Article 1 — Subject
These Terms of Sale govern the relations between Camil Massion, official guide ("the Guide"), and any person booking a guided tour ("the Client").
Article 2 — Booking
Bookings are made through this website and are paid online straight away, except for tours subject to a minimum number of participants (article 3). A booking becomes final once the payment has been checked, within 24 hours, and you are notified by email. If the tour takes place in less than 24 hours, simply turn up at the meeting point: confirmation happens on the spot.
Article 3 — Pricing and payment
Prices are in euros, taxes included. Payment is made online at the time of booking, by card through Stripe.
The reduced rate is for students, jobseekers and under-18s. Proof is requested on the day of the tour; failing that, the difference is due on site.
Pay-what-you-want slots and bookings settled with a gift voucher involve no online payment. The same goes for tours subject to a minimum number of participants: nothing is charged at booking time. Payment happens once the departure is confirmed, either on the day of the tour (cash, cheque or card) or online, through a payment link sent by email. If the minimum is never reached, the tour is cancelled and nothing is owed.
From 9 participants onwards, bookings are handled by quote.
Article 4 — Cancellation
More than 48h before: free cancellation.
Less than 48h before: no refund, except in justified force majeure.
Cancellation by the Guide: rescheduling or cancellation at no cost.
Article 5 — Conduct of the tour
The Client agrees to be on time and at the agreed location. Any delay over 15 minutes may result in cancellation without refund.
Article 6 — Liability
The Guide declines any liability for accidents caused by reckless behaviour of the Client.
Article 7 — Personal data
Collected data is used solely to manage tours and is not shared with third parties (GDPR-compliant).
Article 8 — Gift vouchers
What it is. A gift voucher entitles the holder to a set number of places on regular guided tours, whatever the public rate in force when it is used.
Price and rate changes. The voucher is sold at €20 per place. It remains valid for the same number of places even if rates rise later on.
Validity. The voucher is valid for one year from its purchase date. This period is stated before payment and appears on the voucher itself. After that date the voucher can no longer be used.
Issue. The voucher is issued once the payment has been checked, within 48 hours, and emailed to the buyer.
Single use. The voucher is used in one go, for a single booking. Any places not used in that booking are permanently lost. If the booking covers more places, the balance is paid separately.
Exclusions. The voucher is valid neither on one-off events nor on rates negotiated with partners.
Named voucher. The voucher is issued in the name of the recipient given at purchase, whether an individual or an organisation, and is usable by that recipient.
Refunds. Other than under the right of withdrawal below, the voucher is neither refundable nor exchangeable for cash.
Right of withdrawal. Under articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the buyer has 14 days from purchase to withdraw, provided the voucher has not been used. Requests are made by email to cam.massion@gmail.com and give rise to a full refund.
Lost voucher. If the voucher is lost, the buyer may ask for it to be sent again by email: it is identified by its number and remains valid.
Booking paid with a voucher and then cancelled. If a booking paid with a voucher is cancelled under article 4, the voucher is restored to its holder for the remaining validity period.
Article 9 — Applicable law
French law applies. Competent courts: Nantes.
